..Monday..

Okay I am not feeling any better in fact I think I am getting worse.. Today in rehab I definitely got a workout.. My heart rate got a lil higher than I like it to go.. I did get through it though after a minute of resting.. After rehab I did a little exercise of relaxation.. It was nice and it definitely worked.. There was a sweet lady in there, she was also doing the same exercises as I was.. I think we both could have fallen asleep.. I love old people they are so sweet..
I came home and took a long nap after my workout.. I am already ready for bed too.. Tomorrow is going to be a resting day and trying to catch up on whatever this is dragging me down.. So as for now all i can do in get those extra treatments in in get climbing back up that hill.. Keep those prayers going for my lungs to come in.. I really need them....

We Need Some Clean Rain

Man this weekend has started out rough.. I missed my pulmonary rehab cause my arthritis flair up, and when that happens it takes control and you have to wait till its ready to head out on it own terms.. Luckily I don't have is as bad as some of my CF friends have they are very painful for days and days.. Mines generally one or two days.. Not to mention I looked out side today and I could not even see the city.. It is so brown from all the dust blowing around.. Its completely disgusting.. Ill sit in my room with my air purifier on high before I will go out and breath that crap and end back up on the start line.. The Start line is where I cross and go into the joint (hospital).. I am doing as much moving around as I can.. I also do the home work out plan that Bill in rehab showed me to do.. They really work after you do them for a while.. I would hope that people on transplant take excises seriously.. I know it is so much of a pain cause of way it makes you feel during workout, but if you keep it up and when you do get sick, it is better on your body to try and catch up..I promise theThe littlest bit helps..

Ziggy ready for bed!!

My buddies made a fabulous dinner tonight.. yummy,, we had a few friends over and just enjoyed each other.. I love being with all my friends and just chilling and eating good food..

My Dad and Grammy are coming tomorrow.. We will play a game or something I really don't like to watch movies cause no one gets to talk, and I don't get to see them as much as I would like.. We are going to work on her texting this weekend too.. Maybe it (Ziggy giving goodnight kiss ) will be nice enough we can talk a walk around the block.. Depending on the air outside..

Well I am going to catch some sleep And pray for all my friends on waiting lists and for my friend that is in recovery..

Dumb Air

As said yesterday that the air was CRAPPY and it made me feel crappy, but today is a lil better.. I went to my pulmonary rehab and it didn't go as well as I was hoping for it to but I got through it.. On my way out I had to stop at Starbucks for my much needed Mocha Frapp.. After a workout like that it tastes real real good..
It was a bit colder today I walked out to get my car and it was trying to snow.. Hello its the middle of April.. We need to be getting spring flowers not winter snow.. It just did that because I had my car washed.. It just likes to mess everything up.. Typical weather, right??
I ended my day spending time with my friend and her new lil baby boy Brenden.. He is so cute, and he sure loves his aunt Tanya..

Ziggy got beat up by a 3 pound poodle.. Come on buddy don't be such a wussy.. Ziggy is 20 pounds, can you picture him running from a lil 3 pounder.. Well it really happend and it was really was funny.. At least I know he don't have the urge to beat up other dogs..

Not Again..

I woke up today not feeling that great.. The wind was blowing very hard last night and I think it stired up all the dirt in the air or something.. It feels as though i need to go back in the hospital.. I hate that one day you can feel so good and the next it is the exact opposite.. I hope that it only lasts one day.. Hopefully the rain washed the air and tomorrow will be better.. I have pulmonary rehab tomorrow so I will see how i handle that.. Now that the weather is getting warm and I have my O2 tank that has a higher flow of O2 (6 liters max) I was going to try and walk outside on the days that I don't have rehab.. I would probably try to do it on the weekends too.. I know that the kids (pups) would love that..

Tomorrow is my friend Will's birthday!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUDDY!!!! Lets pray that his day goes just the way he wants it to.. Even the littlest progress would make him and his family pleased.. So keep the prayers and great thoughts going in his direction.. Thanks for you support!!

Still feeling good

I think I have finally recoverd from my active weekend.. Sunday was mostly a chill hang out type of day.. I got some medical documents done that I was procrastinating on doing, but luckly my aunt knows how to do that kind of stuff and she helped me on it.. We had such a good time, I felt so good this last weekend (breathing).. Maybe I will be able to stay out of the hospital a lil longer this time.. Cross your fingers and toes!!

Worn Out But Worth It!!

This has been a very fun and active weekend.. I have not done this much in one weekend months, and the thing is the weekend is not over.. Thursday my aunt flew in from Colorado and we picked her up for lunch at her hotel after she got settled in.. My sister and my mom also come down for the weekend, they left this evening.. We have ate so much this weekend I have gained weight without dong my nightly tube feeds.. Man that is impressive for me.. LOL.. I need to go shopping to buy new pants cause I don't fit in the ones that I have.. Its good shopping don't hurt my feelings.. HE HE.. I do however dread it a lil cause it makes me so tired and it is allot of work for me to get out and be active.. I just take it SLOW and i seem to manage..

I talked my aunt into trying a sushi roll.. She was not to crazy for it but at least she tried it.. Her and my grama are the only ones that I have got to step across the line and try sushi.. I grew up hating sea food but i love sushi rolls now.. Its like a craving sometimes.. I know, a lil weird..

My baby boy Ziggy is so happy to be home with me.. Every time i get up and move he jumps up and has to come sit on me, literally sits on me.. Not to mention he sleeps laying on top of me ALL night.. Not that I have a hard time breathing anyway.. Good thing he isn't any bigger..

Well I will have to write more perhaps tomorrow, I am falling asleep.. I will also post a couple of pictures from this weekend.. I hope you all are having as much fun as I am.. Love to you all

Home Again..

It is so nice to be home.. I got home about 4 this afternoon, took a real shower and chilled with by roomie Wade.. We watched some TV and I got so sleepy next thing I know it's time for dinner.. Wade went and got dinner and it tasted so good.. On the plus side the pups were so happy to see me.. Even if Anna did poop in my doorway as soon as I got home.. She has a way of paying me back from when I leave for a long time.. Oh i never did introduce you to Anna, she is the boys dog.. Sometimes she don't like that I moved in and she is sure to let me know.. The good thing is what ever she does the boys will always take care of it.. When I say the boys I am talking about Chad and Wade.. They are the ones that I moved in with while I am waiting for my new lungs.. Friends are great they sure do take care of me, and all the little thing that I come with..
My aunt is flying in tomorrow for the whole weekend.. She will get here around 10 in the morning if the weather does not change that.. We are supposed to be getting a storm.. Sure hope not, I am so ready for WARM SUNNY weather.. My mom and my sister Brook will also be coming down.. So this weekend will be filled with fun memories..

I am going to end this entry by asking all of you to pray for my dear friend Will.. He has had some complications added to his recovery.. Prayers and great thoughts are well needed for my friend.. He has been through so much and has made it this far so I know he has the power to make it farther down this journey.. If anyone can do this it is him.. One More Day!!

Man what a sleepless night it was last night.. I don't really have a reason to why i couldn't fall asleep.. I get to go home tomorrow though, so I will be able to sleep in my own bed.. And best of all my puppy will be home so I will be able to cuddle with him.. I sure am home sick for that lil guy.. He has been at his grams while I have been in the joint, and having fun at that..
My Aunt surprised me and told me she was coming out for a visit this weekend.. How exciting!! I really do need this.. We are going to have a great time.. I have to thank Glen for putting this together and making things happen.. I cant even wait!!!
My friend Will has made a huge move in his recovery.. He has moved out of the ICU and into this Luxury Suite.. It is the best room in the whole hospital I think.. He very much deserves it too.. It Will be known as the HERO SUITE!!

Happy Sunday!!

I woke up to my grama and my aunt Bev coming for a quick visit this morning.. I love family they all are so fun to be around.. We took a trip downstairs to Starbucks for a coffee.. Gotta love the bucks!!
I was hoping they could have stayed a bit longer. I'm trying to teach grama how to text on her phone, so she can have a fast way to inform people while i in hospital and such.. This may take awhile..... Um perhaps she should stick to calls only it may be the faster way all in all??. No, I think we have to give this text thing a try.. I need something to pass the time, right??

Terri said (Wills mom) today is a good day.. So I had to do a happy dace to celebrate..

Saturday Night

Today has been a better day.. Even if I slept in till about 2.. My Grama and her 3 sisters (my great aunts) came up for a visit.. It was so good to see all of them.. It has been way too long.. Lets not let it go that long again okay!! It's so much fun to see everyone, even if it was for a couple hours.. It was time well spent!!!
My buddy Will is making such a progress with his recovery.. It was a real good day for him as well.. With many more to follow..
Terri (wills mom) came and took me to eat some spaghetti that one of our dear friends had brought up for the family.. I tell you it was tasty good!!.. I have not ate that much for a while..
All in all it was a good evening.
The Dr increased the dose of one of my several meds to see if that will help my lungs relax and not work so hard.
My O2 requirements have gone up a bit the last couple days which leads to the higher heart rate.. Not going to worry about it right now unless the needs of O2 grow higher and my heart rate increases..

Friday April 4th 08

I have now been at the hospital for 12 days, but I only feel like I have been here for about 3 days. I have ZERO energy so the only thing i have time for is sleep.. but the thing is, is I will go to fall asleep and what do you know it my eyes just wont close and the t.v comes on and there we go, watching t.v till 2 or 3 in the morning.. AAHH

Its to the point now I would just rather go home and be with my kids. I'm close enough to the hospital if anything was to happen I can be right here in a flash.. Ill talk to them tomorrow about it.. See what they say...

Hi Everyone!!

So I have decided to start a blog while going through the lung transplant process.. I was inspired by my buddy Will.. His mom Terri has done such a great job on his blog, keeping everyone posted on his recovery, I thought it would be a great idea to start one as well..

It has been 75 days since I have been listed on the transplant list.. So I know the day i get the call is right around the corner..
