Today was my first clinic day since my transplant.. It is a long day but I was always doing something so it went by fast.. We got there at 8:45 and went directly to the blood lab so I could get my drug levels drawn.. They were busy today so it took a little bit to get in.. Next we went down so I could do my breathing test (aka as PFT's) they were good.. The last ones I did before transplant my functions were at 16%.. Today they were 39%. They will continue to get better as I heal and build my strength back.. I have not had numbers like that for 5 years or so.. So I was pretty happy about that.. After those were completed I went over to rehab (exercise) and did some walking on the treadmill and some work on the new step.. I was worn out by the end of the session due to sore muscles I have from walking the day before.. My apartment has a workout room that my mom and I go to.. So anyway after my workout I went up and did my chest x-ray.. Then finally made it to clinic.. Everything went smooth.. My x-ray showed that I still have fluid on the right upper lung, which makes me wheezy and my chest will vibrate if I take a deep breath.. That will go away with time and exercise.. Dr. Cahill wants me to eat more.. She says eat meat meat meat.. So that's what I am going to do.. My diet is meat meat meat.. My mom and I got our flu shots.. Mine didn't even hurt.. My mom was a whiny little butt.. She is still whining about it.. Waa Waa Waa I tell her.. I like to tease her for it though.. ha ha ha!!
We got home and ate lunch and then I took a nap.. That was pretty much our whole days events..

Hi Tanya,
I found your blog through Will Harbison's. I am a nurse up in IMCU at the U and took care of you once. I am so happy you are home and doing well! Best of luck

Great news! I'm so happy to be reading all this good stuff going on :D I have myself one of those head colds right now, but as soon as it lifts i'm planning on making a visit. Sounds like I need to bring some beef jerky with me ha ha. Love ya T!
